Villanelle is a UK-based grunge and alternative rock trio formed in 2023 by Gene Gallagher, Ben Taylor, and Jack Schiavo. Blending the raw energy of ‘90s grunge with modern indie rock, the band draws influence from acts like Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, and My Bloody Valentine. Known for their gritty guitar sound and high-energy live shows, Villanelle quickly built buzz on the UK live circuit before releasing their debut singles “Hinge,” “Measly Means,” and “Placebo.” Fronted by Gene Gallagher - son of Liam Gallagher - the band has emerged as part of a new wave of guitar-driven rock revivalists.
