The Kooks are a British indie rock band formed in Brighton, England, in 2004. The original lineup consisted of Luke Pritchard (vocals and guitar), Hugh Harris (guitar), Paul Garred (drums), and Max Rafferty (bass guitar). The band quickly gained attention for their catchy melodies, youthful energy, and eclectic sound that blended influences from rock, pop, reggae, and funk. In 2006, The Kooks released their debut album, *Inside In/Inside Out*, which became a major commercial success, especially in the UK.
