Destiny's Child

Destiny's Child

Destiny's Child was an American R&B girl group that rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Originally formed in Houston, Texas in 1990 under the name Girl's Tyme, the group went through several lineup changes before settling as a trio made up of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The group's breakout came with the 1999 hit album *The Writing's on the Wall*, which featured chart-topping singles such as "Bills Bills Bills" and "Say My Name." With their infectious melodies, tight harmonies, and female-empowerment themes, Destiny's Child became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. In 2001, they released *Survivor*, an album that solidified their superstardom with tracks like the title track "Survivor" and "Bootylicious." Their final studio album, *Destiny Fulfilled*, came out in 2004 and included hits such as "Lose My Breath" and "Cater 2 U." Destiny's Child disbanded in 2006 to allow the members to pursue solo careers, most notably Beyoncé, who launched a highly successful solo music and acting career. The group has reunited for special performances, including the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013. Destiny's Child is widely regarded as one of the most successful female music groups in history, known for their vocal talent, group chemistry, and influence on pop and R&B music.
