There are 7 new entries in the top 100 Album chart this week and one of them is a new number one. Albums from massive artists Bruno Mars and Gorillaz were both released last week and have entered this week's chart. Gorillaz ‘The Mountain’ is straight in at number 1 with Bruno Mars’ "The Romantic’ at number 3.

The other new entries are ‘Nothing's About to Happen to Me’ by Mitski at number 4; Blackpink’s mini album ‘Deadline’ at number 11; Paul McCartney and Wings soundtrack from the Amazon MGM Studios feature documentary ‘Paul McCartney Man on the Run’ is at 35; Rob Zombie’s ‘The Great Satan’ is the latest work by the 61 year old horror, sci-fi, singer, actor, and film maker; Feeder hits the album charts again with a live version of ‘Comfort in Sound’ which they re-released and toured with last year, the Welsh band are also due to perform at this years Download festival. Last week’s Brit award nominations and awards have obviously influenced a few top 100 re-entries. The homage paid by Mark Ronson to Amy Winhouse as he received the award for ‘Outstanding Contribution To Music’ has given a bump again to Amy’s ‘Back to Black’ album; it's now had a total of 565 weeks in the UK album charts since it was released almost 20 years ago. PinkPantheress’ album ‘Fancy That’ returns to the charts at number 5 after she won Brit awards prize for ‘Producer of the year’. She is the first Woman and the youngest to have received the award. The multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, and producer, is helping lead the next generation of British talent breaking through with such impact on the global stage. She was also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act. Her airplay and tiktok viral success of hit single ‘Illegal’ has no doubt helped with her success. Brooklyn based rock band ‘Geese’ won International Artist of the year. Their album ‘Getting Killed’ is back in the charts, it peaked at 26 up on its release in September last year. Drummer Max Bassin picked up their award, presented by Cat Burns and deliver a short and sweet, though largely censored acceptance speech. “What up the Brits!” he said. “I just want to say, free Palestine, fuck ICE, RIP Mani, let’s go Geese.”
