This is the second full length album by Brighton based all-girl indie band Lime Garden and it's a good one.

Anyone who hasn’t been hiding under a rock for the last month or so will have heard the fantastic set opener ‘23’. Deep bass grooves and pulsating rhythms. For a song with kind of existential crisis lyrics it makes you want to dance. It has a feeling of loss, but I’m going to forget all about that and get lost in the music and joy with my friends. Performed live with a bit of stripped back line up (there’s limited room in Wax and beans, and the neighbours above might complain) it sounded epic. Chloe Howard's vocals are understated, effortlessly tuneful, with a warm slightly smokey timbre. it doesn’t soar but it has range, depth and real feeling. Combined with the electro grooves of these new songs it's a perfect match. All the songs are short, really short. I thought that they were maybe playing shorter versions for this performance but on listening back to the album there are only a couple of songs that stretch slightly beyond 3 minutes. There is nothing wrong with this and they do leave you wanting more. Maybe that’s the thought behind it. The album launched last Friday, 10th April, is currently sitting at number 25 in the album charts according to the band, who we were able to chat with briefly whilst getting the album signed. Let hope it states there or higher come album chart reckoning day on Friday.
