Olivia Dean, what can we say. Back at number 1 for the 5th time since its release in September last year. It's been a top 5 album for the whole of that time too. It helped too at the moment with her Sam Fender collaboration on the double platinum number 1 single ‘Rein Me In’.
New entries in the top 100 this week come in the form of Jack Savoretti, Holly Humberstone, Ella Langley, Enter Shikari, Alfie Boe, Bring me the Horizon, Lime Garden, Justin Bieber. Alfie Boe takes a change in pace and delivers a largely self penned album, Face Myself, that sees him introspectively look at his Fylde Coast roots. The former TVR factory apprentice mechanic turned Broadway singer sings about his youth and his love of Madchester era music. His cover of Noel Gallagher's ‘Trying To Find A World That’s Been And Gone Pt.1’ from Noel’s recent ‘Council Skies’ album is a real highlight. Jack Savoretti collaborates with KT Tunstall, Miles Kane and Steph Fraser (another North West connection in the album chart this week) on his new album ‘We Will Always Be The Way We Were’. This is the 8th Studio album from the 42 year old British-Italian singer songwriter. Lime Garden’s ‘Maybe Not Tonight’ entered the top 100 at number 58. The Brighton based all girl indie band have been promoting the album with record store performances and signings up and down the country this week. We think it’s really cool. Bring Me the Horizon, the Yorkshire Rock band are now in their 3rd decade since forming in 2004. Oli Sykes, lead singer, and the band are back with ‘L.I.V.E. in São Paulo’ which as the name suggests is a live album recorded in Brazil. The Initial formatting of the word Live stands for ‘Live Immersive Virtual Experiment’. The live film was shown in cinemas worldwide in March this year and grossed $490,794 at the box office. Multi platinum country singer Ella Langley’s follow up to her 2024 album Hungover, Dandelion is at number 7. The song ‘Choosin’ Texas’ from the album has already amassed over a quarter of a billion streams on Spotify alone.
