New Album Releases - 17 April 2026 - Out Now

Story by Ben Avery

20/04/2026

Its quite a list. 19 new Albums this week! The most obvious names on it are MIA, Anne Hathaway, Jessie Ware, Nine Inch Nails, Rosalia and Zayn.

Zayn’s album makes it the 3rd album by a former One Direction member this year. I believe Niall Horan is due to complete the set with his own LP in June this year. Konnakol is Zayn’s 5th solo studio album. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to ever get very deep. I might be wrong but I think this might be one for the die hard fans. MIA has her new album MI7 billed by many as a gospel record. It's not though. It has religious themes and has a tiny sprinkle of a gospel choir here and there on a couple of songs, but that's it. It sounds very much like MIA’s earlier work, perhaps a bit more chilled, there are no bangers on there. There are no faux gangster lyrics on this one, it's Jesus all the way. The full list of this weeks album releases is: Anne Hathaway - Mother Mary: Greatest Hits Arkells - Between Us Cameron Whitcomb - Deep Water Eaves Wilder - Little Miss Sunshine Gem Club - Emerald Press Honey Dijon - The Nightlife Jessie Ware - Superbloom John Summit - Crtl Escape Kuru - Backstage Hologram Lucy Liyou - Mr Cobra MIA - M.I.7 Nine Inch Nails / Boys Noize - Nine Inch Noize Not for Radio - Bloom Rosalia - Lux Seether - Beneath the Surface Summer Set - Meet Me At The Record Store: Everything Must Go Tiga - Hotlife Vanesa Carlton - Veils Zayn - Konnakol Mother Mary: Greatest hits is the soundtrack to a new film, Mother Mary, by director David Lowery. The story is of a fictional pop star played by Anne Hathaway. The songs are all sung by Hathaway and written by collaborations with Charli XCX, FKA Twiggs and Jack Antonoff and Hathaway herself, amongst others. Production is mainly by producer Antanoff and XCX. The album's lead single Burial, is very late 90’s Madonna. Nine Inch Noize is a collaboration album between German-Iraqi EDM producer Boys Noize and industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails founder Trent Reznor. They took the sound to the party at the Coachella Sahara tent a couple of weekends ago (April 11th) where it went down a storm. It's an EDM album essentially with a bit less of the rawness of NIN. Jessie Ware’s new album Superbloom is out now on EMI records. It is the 6th full length album from the 41 year old British singer and songwriter. She has had Brit Award nominations a-plenty since her 2012 debut. Lead single ‘I Could Get Used to This’ released prior to the album peaked at number 43 in the UK singles chart.
