Wired is a hard reset for Basement. It marks the British band’s first album in eight years, a reunion with their original label Run For Cover Records. The band formed in Ipswich, Suffolk, in 2009 are back firing on all cylinders. They're not interested in rehashing old glories. The whole band was adamant that Wired had to be their most decisive artistic statement yet. "This record is rooted in the feelings of revenge and vindication. These are emotions that can either push us forward or hold us back. There’s a duality to them. They can fuel growth, drive ambition, and help us rise above what’s tried to break us, but they can also become destructive if we let them consume us," explains Andy Biersack lead singer of Black Veil Brides ahead of the new 7th studio album ‘Vindicate’ release. Little Simz EP - Sugar Girl with producer Jakwob, guest appearances from JT, DEELA and 070 shake. This is the second new music release since her Lotus Album last year. Open Arms (ft DEELA) has some sick afro drums, ultra cool synth, and amazing vocals. Measly Means - the new EP from Villanelle is also out today features the previously released Hinge, Measly Means, and Placebo with Squeeze and Opportunely Arising being new ones. Well worth a listen. It's easy to think of writing them off because of the potential nepotism, but these guys are standing on their own 2 feet and making their own mark. Internationally acclaimed artist Lykke Li marks a bold reinvention with The Afterparty - it moves away from romantic fantasy into streetwise tales of morality and confrontation soundtracked by disco-glowing strings.
