Don't Smile at Me, the debut EP by Billie Eilish, is a hauntingly beautiful introduction to her unique musical style. Released in 2017, the album showcases her ability to blend moody, minimalist production with deeply personal lyrics and hypnotic vocals. Tracks like "Ocean Eyes" and "idontwannabeyouanymore" highlight her emotional vulnerability, while songs like "COPYCAT" reveal a sassier, darker edge. The EP's genre-bending sound feels fresh and innovative, pulling influences from pop, indie, and electronic music. At just under 30 minutes, Don't Smile at Me is a short but impactful release that sets the stage for Eilish's rise as one of the most compelling voices of her generation.
