Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in 1998 in Los Angeles by guitarist Zakk Wylde after his stint with Ozzy Osbourne. What began as Wylde’s side project grew into a full-fledged act known for its aggressive, groove-driven riffs and bluesy melodies. The band's sound is anchored by Wylde’s blistering guitar work and his signature Bullseye Les Paul, supported by a rotating lineup that has included bassist John DeServio and a series of drummers and guitarists. Their debut, Sonic Brew (1999), helped establish a dedicated following and a reputation for high-energy, hard-edged live performances. Black Label Society remains a major fixture in modern metal, continuing to release music and tour worldwide.
