Steve Lacy (born May 23, 1998) is an American musician, guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. He first gained recognition as the guitarist for the soul and funk–leaning group The Internet, contributing to their 2015 album Ego Death and touring with the band. He launched a solo career with the release of Steve Lacy's Demo in 2017, followed by Apollo XXI in 2019 and Gemini Rights in 2022. His 2022 single Bad Habit brought him mainstream attention, highlighting his blend of funk, R&B, and indie rock. Known for a DIY approach, Lacy writes, records and produces much of his own material, while collaborating with a wide range of artists across genres.
