Little Mix

Little Mix is a British girl group that was formed on the eighth season of the UK talent show *The X Factor* in 2011. Comprising original members Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards, the group made history as the first ever to win the competition. Known for their powerful vocals, infectious pop anthems, and messages of empowerment, Little Mix quickly became one of the most successful girl groups of their generation. The group debuted with their first single "Cannonball," followed by their widely acclaimed original track "Wings” in 2012. Their debut album *DNA* brought them international recognition, marking their entry onto the U.S. Billboard 200 chart—the highest of any British girl group at the time since the Spice Girls. Over the years, they released hit albums like *Salute*, *Get Weird*, *Glory Days*, *LM5*, and *Confetti*, delivering chart-topping singles such as "Black Magic," "Shout Out to My Ex," "Touch," and "Woman Like Me." Little Mix became renowned for their bold lyrical themes embracing self-confidence, friendship, and independence, resonating with fans worldwide. They have won numerous awards, including multiple BRIT Awards, and are celebrated for promoting inclusivity and diversity through their music and public advocacy. In December 2020, Jesy Nelson departed the group citing personal struggles, and the remaining trio continued as a band, releasing hits like "Heartbreak Anthem" and "Love (Sweet Love)." In 2022, Little Mix announced a hiatus to focus on solo projects after wrapping up their massive Confetti Tour, assuring fans it was not the end of their journey as a group. Their lasting impact on pop music and their legacy as pioneers of modern girl group pop remains unparalleled.
