Larkin Poe

Larkin Poe is an American roots rock band formed by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. Originally from Calhoun, Georgia, the duo is known for their dynamic energy, soulful harmonies, and masterful musicianship, blending elements of blues, rock, and Americana. Named after their great-great-great-grandfather, a relative of the poet Edgar Allan Poe, the group pays homage to their Southern heritage through their music. Rebecca Lovell serves as the lead vocalist and guitarist, while Megan Lovell complements with lap steel guitar and harmonies, creating a rich, distinctive sound. Prior to forming Larkin Poe in 2010, the sisters were part of a bluegrass group called The Lovell Sisters. However, their transition to Larkin Poe marked a shift toward grittier, more contemporary roots music. Over the years, Larkin Poe has built a reputation as a powerhouse live act and has released several acclaimed albums, including "Venom & Faith," which was nominated for a Grammy Award, and "Self Made Man." Their music is characterized by raw authenticity, heartfelt lyrics, and a modern take on traditional Southern influences. In addition to their solo work, Larkin Poe has collaborated with notable artists such as Elvis Costello, Keith Urban, and T Bone Burnett and has performed on major stages around the world. The Lovell sisters remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of their sound while staying true to their musical roots, earning them a loyal and growing fan base.
