Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit is an American nu-metal band formed in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida. The band was founded by vocalist Fred Durst, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto, and guitarist Wes Borland. DJ Lethal joined in 1996, completing the classic lineup. Their aggressive sound blends metal, hip-hop, and alternative rock, making them one of the defining acts of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Limp Bizkit gained mainstream success with their second album *Significant Other* in 1999, featuring hits like *Nookie* and *Break Stuff*. Their follow-up, *Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water*, released in 2000, further solidified their fame with tracks such as *My Way* and *Rollin'*. Known for their energetic performances and Fred Durst's distinctive vocal style, the band became a major force in the nu-metal movement. Wes Borland temporarily left the band in 2001, leading to a brief hiatus and lineup changes. Limp Bizkit returned in 2003 with *Results May Vary* and reunited with Borland for *The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)* in 2005. After a period of lower activity, they released *Gold Cobra* in 2011 and remained a strong presence in the live music scene. In 2021, the band released *Still Sucks*, marking a return to their signature sound. Despite facing criticism, Limp Bizkit has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to perform worldwide. Their influence on nu-metal and alternative rock remains significant, cementing their place in music history.
