Steven Wilson is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer known for his work in progressive rock and ambient music. Born on November 3 1967 in Kingston upon Thames England he gained recognition as the founder and frontman of the band Porcupine Tree which he led from the late 1980s until their hiatus in 2010 and later their reunion in 2021. Wilson has also pursued a successful solo career releasing multiple critically acclaimed albums showcasing his diverse musical influences ranging from rock and electronic music to jazz and orchestral works. His solo discography includes albums such as The Raven That Refused to Sing Hand. Cannot. Erase. and The Future Bites. Beyond his own projects Wilson is a renowned producer and audio engineer known for his work remixing and remastering classic albums by bands like King Crimson Yes Jethro Tull and Tears for Fears.
