Ricky Warwick
Ricky Warwick is a Northern Irish musician and songwriter best known as the frontman of the hard rock bands Black Star Riders and The Almighty. Born on July 11 1966 in Newtownards Northern Ireland he grew up in Scotland where he developed a passion for music. Warwick gained recognition in the late 1980s as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of The Almighty a band that achieved success with albums like Blood Fire & Love and Soul Destruction. After The Almighty disbanded he pursued a solo career releasing several albums that showcased his singer-songwriter and folk influences. In 2012 he became the lead singer of Black Star Riders a band formed by members of Thin Lizzy to create new music while respecting Thin Lizzy’s legacy. He has also toured and recorded with other artists including Thin Lizzy and has collaborated with various musicians throughout his career. Warwick remains an active and influential figure in the rock and metal scene known for his powerful vocals dynamic stage presence and passionate songwriting.
