Coheed and Cambria

Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Nyack, New York. The group was founded by vocalist and guitarist Claudio Sanchez, guitarist Travis Stever, bassist Michael Todd, and drummer Josh Eppard. Their music blends progressive rock, punk, metal, and post-hardcore, creating a distinctive sound. The band gained popularity with their ambitious concept albums, which follow a science fiction storyline known as *The Amory Wars*. This narrative, written by Sanchez, spans across multiple albums and has been adapted into comic books and novels. Their breakthrough came with the 2003 album *In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3*, which included the popular singles *A Favor House Atlantic* and *Blood Red Summer*. Coheed and Cambria achieved further success with *Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume One* in 2005, featuring the hit song *Welcome Home*. Over the years, the band has continued to expand their sound while maintaining their conceptual storytelling, releasing albums such as *No World for Tomorrow*, *The Afterman* series, and *Vaxis* arc. Despite lineup changes, with Michael Todd departing in 2011, the band remains active with Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Josh Eppard, and Zach Cooper. Known for their intricate musicianship, engaging live shows, and dedicated fanbase, Coheed and Cambria have established themselves as one of the most unique and enduring acts in modern progressive rock.
