5 Seconds of Summer
5 Seconds of Summer, often abbreviated as 5SOS, is an Australian pop rock band formed in Sydney in 2011. The group originally gained fame by posting cover songs on YouTube. The band's lineup consists of Luke Hemmings on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Michael Clifford on lead guitar, Calum Hood on bass guitar, and Ashton Irwin on drums. The band's breakthrough came in 2013 when they were invited to join One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home tour. This exposure catapulted them into the global music scene. In 2014, 5 Seconds of Summer released their self-titled debut album, which topped charts in multiple countries and included the hit single "She Looks So Perfect." They followed up with several successful albums including "Sounds Good Feels Good" in 2015, "Youngblood" in 2018, "Calm" in 2020, and "5SOS5" in 2022. Over the years, their music has evolved from pop punk and teen rock influences to a more mature pop rock and alternative sound. 5SOS has built a loyal international fanbase and is known for their high-energy performances and strong vocal harmonies.
