Artemas Diamandis, known professionally as Artemas, is an English-Cypriot singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on September 23, 1999, in Oxfordshire, England, he grew up in a village environment that nurtured his early passion for music. At the age of six, he began piano lessons, and by sixteen, after watching the documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck," he was inspired to start writing songs. Self-taught in various instruments and production techniques, Artemas crafted his first song at seventeen, which received local radio play, marking his initial steps into the music scene. In November 2020, Artemas released his debut single, "High 4 U." His breakthrough came with the 2023 single "If U Think I'm Pretty," which gained viral popularity and charted in multiple countries. This success was followed by the release of his debut mixtape, "Pretty," in February 2024. The momentum continued with the March 2024 single "I Like the Way You Kiss Me," achieving number one positions in several European countries and reaching number three in the UK and number twelve on the US Billboard Hot 100. This track solidified his presence in the international music scene. Artemas's music blends alternative pop with elements of R&B and rock, characterized by introspective lyrics and genre-defying sounds. His ability to seamlessly merge these styles has drawn comparisons to artists like Rex Orange County and Post Malone. As of 2025, Artemas continues to evolve as an artist, building a dedicated fan base and leaving a significant mark on the contemporary music landscape.
