Halsey, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane on September 29, 1994, in Edison, New Jersey, is an American singer, songwriter, and activist known for her distinctive voice and genre-blending music. Halsey adopted her stage name as a reference to a street in Brooklyn as well as an anagram of her first name.
