Turnstile

Turnstile is an American hardcore punk band formed in 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland. The band was founded by drummer Daniel Fang and vocalist Brendan Yates, who had previously played together in the band Trapped Under Ice. Turnstile quickly gained attention for their energetic and eclectic approach to hardcore, blending elements of punk, alternative rock, and even funk into their sound. Their debut EP, *Pressure to Succeed*, released in 2011, showcased their raw intensity and set the stage for their growing popularity in the hardcore scene. They followed up with another EP, *Step 2 Rhythm*, in 2013, and released their first full-length album, *Nonstop Feeling*, in 2015. This album marked a turning point for the band, featuring more melodic elements and a broader sonic palette. In 2018, Turnstile released their second album, *Time & Space*, through Roadrunner Records. The record was critically acclaimed and brought the band to a wider audience thanks to its experimental production and genre-blending style. Their third studio album, *Glow On*, released in 2021, further pushed their boundaries, incorporating dream pop, soul, and psychedelic influences. It received widespread praise and earned the band a Grammy nomination, solidifying Turnstile’s reputation as one of the most innovative and vibrant acts in modern rock and hardcore. Turnstile is known for their high-energy live performances and inclusive ethos, often emphasizing community and positivity in their music and shows. Over the years, they have become a leading force in contemporary hardcore, continuing to evolve while remaining true to their roots.
