The Script
The Script is an Irish pop rock band formed in Dublin in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Danny O'Donoghue, guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power. Known for their heartfelt lyrics and blend of pop, rock, and R&B influences, The Script rose to fame with their self-titled debut album in 2008, which featured hit singles such as "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "Breakeven." Prior to forming The Script, O'Donoghue and Sheehan had worked together as producers in the US, collaborating with artists like Teddy Riley and the R&B group Boyz II Men. Their shared musical vision led them back to Dublin where they teamed up with Power to form the band. The Script's subsequent albums, including "Science & Faith" (2010), "#3" (2012), and "No Sound Without Silence" (2014), solidified their international success. These albums produced chart-topping hits like "Hall of Fame" featuring will.i.am, "For the First Time," and "Superheroes." Throughout their career, The Script developed a reputation for emotional songwriting and dynamic live performances, earning a loyal global fanbase. Despite changes within the music industry, they have remained a consistent presence in the charts and on international tours. Mark Sheehan passed away in 2023, marking a significant moment in the band's journey. Despite the loss, The Script has continued to honor his legacy and create music that resonates with fans worldwide.
