Lil Tecca, born Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe on August 26, 2002, in Queens, New York, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained widespread popularity in 2019 with his breakout single "Ransom," which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was later certified multi-platinum. Growing up in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood of Queens, Tecca developed an early interest in music. Before turning to rap more seriously, he aspired to be a professional basketball player.
