Halestorm
Halestorm is an American rock band from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, formed in 1997 by siblings Lzzy Hale and Arejay Hale. Known for their energetic live performances and powerful vocals, the band quickly gained attention in the rock scene. Lzzy Hale serves as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, while her brother Arejay plays drums. The group later added guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith to complete the lineup. Halestorm began by performing in small venues and releasing EPs independently before signing with Atlantic Records. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2009 and featured the hit single "I Get Off", which helped establish their mainstream presence. The band’s relentless touring and dynamic shows earned them a loyal fan base. In 2012, Halestorm released their second album, "The Strange Case Of...", which included the Grammy Award-winning single "Love Bites (So Do I)". This win marked a significant milestone, making Lzzy Hale the first woman to win a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance. Subsequent albums such as "Into the Wild Life" (2015), "Vicious" (2018), and "Back from the Dead" (2022) continued to showcase the group's evolution in sound and growing influence in modern rock. Lzzy Hale has also become a prominent figure in rock music, recognized for her powerful vocal range and advocacy for women in the industry. Halestorm remains a staple in contemporary hard rock, known for their blend of heavy guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, and passionate performances. The band continues to tour internationally and record new music, keeping their spirit of raw, energetic rock alive.
