Muse is a British rock band formed in Teignmouth, Devon, in 1994. The group consists of Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Dominic Howard (drums). Known for their fusion of alternative rock, progressive rock, electronic music, and symphonic elements, Muse has been praised for their energetic live performances and ambitious studio albums. The band released their debut album, *Showbiz*, in 1999, featuring a raw, emotional sound and showcasing Bellamy’s distinctive falsetto voice. Their second album, *Origin of Symmetry* (2001), further established them as a force in the alternative rock scene, incorporating more experimental sounds and complex arrangements. Muse gained international acclaim with their third album, *Absolution* (2003), which featured hit singles such as "Time Is Running Out" and "Hysteria." The success continued with subsequent releases like *Black Holes and Revelations* (2006), which brought a more electronic and political edge to their music, exemplified by tracks like "Knights of Cydonia" and "Supermassive Black Hole." Over the years, Muse has continued to evolve their sound, blending genres from classical to dubstep across albums like *The Resistance* (2009), *The 2nd Law* (2012), *Drones* (2015), and *Simulation Theory* (2018). Their ability to reinvent themselves while maintaining a signature style has kept them at the forefront of the global rock scene. Muse has received numerous awards, including multiple Brit Awards, Grammy Awards, and MTV Europe Music Awards. Their combination of technical proficiency, theatrical flair, and socio-political themes has earned them a dedicated worldwide fan base.
