Hayley Williams is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Paramore. She was born on December 27, 1988, in Meridian, Mississippi. Williams moved to Franklin, Tennessee, in her early teens, where she met future bandmates Zac Farro and Josh Farro. In 2004, they formed Paramore, and the band quickly gained attention for its energetic performances and emotive songwriting. Paramore released their debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," in 2005, but it was their second album, "Riot!" in 2007, that catapulted them to mainstream success. The band's catchy hooks, punk-inspired sound, and Williams' powerful voice earned them a dedicated fan base. Over the years, Paramore continued to evolve musically, releasing well-received albums like "Brand New Eyes" in 2009 and their self-titled album in 2013. Apart from her work with Paramore, Williams launched a solo career in 2020 with the release of her debut album, "Petals for Armor." The project showcased a more experimental and personal side of her artistry. A follow-up EP series titled "Flowers for Vases / descansos" was released in 2021. Williams is known for her vibrant stage presence, distinctive voice, and advocacy for mental health awareness and equality. Through both her band and solo projects, she has become a prominent figure in alternative and pop-punk music.
