
We have a new number one album from Charli XCX, the soundtrack to the much anticipated film by the Salburn director, Emerald Fennell. The new entries include the Charlie XCX album along with a live album from Kylie Minogue and debut album from the larger than life internet sensation ‘Chase Icon’.
Kylie's live album was originally released in September last year. It follows her extensive world. It’s just had its physical, including a double gatefold sleeve coloured vinyl release, boosting Kylie’s album up to number 19 this week.
There are a few re-entries into the UK charts for longstanding albums from Tame Impala, Rihanna, Céline Dion and Nirvana.
Rhianna’s Good Girl Gone Bad, originally released in 2007, is back in the UK charts. It was the third studio album by the Barbadian singer. It includes the mega hit single ‘Umbrella’ which was a number one single for the whole of the summer and beyond, selling over 2 million copies in total. It was helped considerably by heavy rainfall in the UK for the whole of that summer.
Deftones - The Studio Album Collection is a collection of 7 Deftone studio albums. It was originally released in 2011. Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker’s 2015 Tame Impala album ‘Currents’ is back in the charts. The band are touring the UK and Europe this year, playing at some really big venues, including the venue for this year's Brit awards, Manchester's Co-op arena.
