SremmLife 2

Review

SremmLife 2 by Rae Sremmurd is an energetic and genre-blending follow-up to their debut album. Released in 2016, the album showcases the duo's growth and solidifies their place in the hip-hop landscape. Tracks like Black Beatles featuring Gucci Mane became massive hits, thanks to its hypnotic beat and catchy hook, even sparking the viral Mannequin Challenge trend. The production throughout is slick and vibrant, courtesy of Mike Will Made-It, and the chemistry between the brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi is undeniable. While the album leans heavily on party anthems and braggadocio, it also hints at more depth in tracks like Now That I Know. Overall, SremmLife 2 is a fun, high-energy project that cements Rae Sremmurd’s ability to craft infectious hits.
