Erasure is an iconic English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1985, consisting of vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell and songwriter, producer, and keyboardist Vince Clarke. Clarke, a former member of Depeche Mode and Yazoo, teamed up with Bell to create a sound that would become synonymous with the 1980s and 1990s pop scene¹.
